LEED is an internationally recognized certification system used to measure a building's or community's performance across a set of metrics that include energy savings, water efficiency, carbon dioxide emissions reduction, improved indoor environmental quality, and stewardship of resources. Essentially this is what is meant by its "Carbon Footprint". Baker & Associates employees the only LEED AP certified designer west of North Platte in Nebraska and Baker & Associates is the only Corporate member of the USGBC outside of Lincoln or Omaha. At Baker & Associates we try to implement the LEED principals into every design and every project that we are a part of. If you would like more information on LEED click here.
We look to implement environmentally friendly practices on our day to day operations as well. In fact, our main branch is a remodeled U.S. Post Office, we practice recycling in both of our offices, and we are in the design phase of a new office complex in Torrington, Wyoming which when completed will be LEED certified. |
